Kara Egan

Kara Egan is the Co-Founder and CEO of Teal Health, where she is reinventing women’s preventative care through accessible, patient-centric solutions. This past May, Teal secured FDA approval for its Teal Wand, the first at-home cervical cancer screening device. The company is now advancing commercialization and other initiatives to broaden access. Motivated by her own experience balancing caregiving and preventative care, Kara has 20 years of experience operating at the intersection of health care and technology, designing health services that integrate seamlessly into people’s everyday lives. She has served as an investor with .406 Ventures and Emergence Capital and as an operator at growth-stage tech firms like Zendesk. Kara holds a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
