Use Your Voice: Tell Congress to Solve the Problem—Pass the Dream and Promise Act!

Congress will soon vote on H.R. 6, the Dream and Promise Act of 2019. If passed, the bill will provide immediate relief for millions of individuals who have lived and worked legally in the United States for years, sometimes decades. These are people who are important fixtures in their communities, who often have children who are U.S. citizens, and who are either unable to return to their country of birth or have almost no connection to it at all. Now is the time to speak up on behalf of your neighbors and the country you want to see. We urge you to contact your representatives in Congress and let them know you support Dreamers and recipients of Temporary Protected Status.

Don’t know what to say? Here is a short message you can borrow.
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent.
I’m calling today to urge [Congressman/Congresswoman] to co-sponsor and vote Yes on the Dream and Promise Act of 2019. Dreamers and TPS holders are vital in our community, as well as in every state in the country. Each day that we do not have a solution in place, millions of lawful residents are put at risk of deportation, often to countries they cannot even remember.
You can fix this.
The Dream and Promise Act was introduced to provide Dreamers and those with Temporary Protection Status the critical protections they need to live and contribute fully to the country they call home.
